Karen Yegge

Karen Yegge first arrived in Colorado in 1982 to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder.  By the time she finished her BA degree (German ‘87), she and her husband, John, had decided Colorado was a pretty nice place to stay and raise a family, which they did (3 biological children, several unofficial “human adoptees”, dogs, cats, chickens, fish, birds and houseplants)!

She has worked at Longmont United Hospital, taught in local schools (MA, special education ‘00) and now, having recently retired from teaching, turns her attention to this passion project.  She looks forward to continuing her work with youth, giving back to her community, and helping to solve community problems of importance.
